KNNOX

The KNNOX lighter uses traditional methods of manufacture and raw materials. Functionally abstract, with a new ritual for flame creation that people can discover, master and enjoy.

The fundamental principles of fire making (fuel, heat, oxygen) are represented by three deliberate block elements; a rectangular body delivering fluid via a wick, an L-shaped body with flint and wheel required for ignition, and a space between the two bodies from which a flame emanates.

13 individual components are secured together with a single socket head screw, the individual components disassemble like an old rifle for servicing and cleaning.

Upon launch KNNOX established its company headquarters in London, and coordinated British specialised manufacturers to produce every component of the design.

Project completed with Vert Design in 2018. Artwork, branding, and secondary packaging development by SocioDesign. Image credit - KNNOX.
